Feel The Quieter Side of Burning Man with Tycho

Just press play and let go.

About the time that some of us were getting up for work, Scott Hanson, known to the musical world as Tycho stepped up to the decks at the Disco Space Shuttle art car in the “deep playa” of Black Rock City and began his sunrise set at Burning Man.

Not bad.

The San Francisco-based producer (who makes up Tycho with bandmates Zac Brown, Rory O’ Connor, and Joe Davancens) played to a crowd of festival goers ranging from recently awakened to the perpetual sleepless to the still dreaming, bringing the perfect sound to embody the love and beauty and emotion that is Burning Man. Tycho is no stranger to the legendary desert festival, having performed in 2010, 2012, and 2013.

Also not bad.

Towards the end of his set, the massive Embrace sculpture was set on fire and burned to background of soothing, ambient music.

(fire starts around 6:40. mute the audio and turn up Tycho)

Keep that mix running in the background as you go about your work today. It has another two hours and fifteen minutes.

Check out Tycho on SoundCloud here and be sure to look at Scott Hanson’s website as well. The man is also an incredible photographer.

I like catchy music and baby animals. One time I was on a Dutch documentary series about making it in Hollywood. I jump a lot when I dance.
