What are your Halloween Plans in Chicago?
I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. Chicago is a musical mecca. Regardless of your taste in music, there’s something fun going on this weekend and Onlythebeat has you covered.
Feed Me has been one of Dogma’s primary inspirations for doing music full time. I’ve honestly never seen him so pumped up for a show and he’s done way bigger ones.
Tickets can be purchased here, doors open at 10. They throw you out at 4AM.
At Primary Nightclub, Gianni Blu + Grey Matter headline Your Party with support from Deadcake, G-Note, Chino, and Tanza. Doors open at 11 PM and they throw out at 4 AM. Drink Specials include $150 Absolut and Jameson Bottles, $4 Well drinks, $4 bud and miller, $7 Absolut and Jameson Drinks, $7 Avion Shots, and $5 O-bombs.

Start your weekend right by going to church with Black Tiger Sex Machine. Following up the first day of Chicago’s Halloween weekend music festival Freaky Deaky, the group will be doing a rare UNMASKED DJ set at this official after party taking place at evilOlive. The show even includes amazing local Chicago talent as opening acts. Get there early to check out KITE!, Dogma, Eat You Alive, and . There is no dress code so all of you freaks can let your freak flag fly at this 21+ show. Tickets and other information available here.
If you’re more into channeling your underground demons on a Friday night, head over to Primary Nightclub for Julian Jeweil. His sets show off his French and German upbringing and will definitely be dragging out all the the goblins and ghouls of the night. I would highly recommend spending your night here with the man himself, especially after remixing names like Dubfire and Matador (and you’ve most definitely heard this one of you went to this year’s Movement fest). Tickets are available for purchase here.
The first stop for your Saturday night should be at Afterlife taking place at Annex Night Club in Wicker Park. Jay Lumen will be headlining the night playing some dark, bouncy tunes, perfect for Barbie and Ken to get down and dirty. The music starts at 10pm and goes until 5am. They have some stellar table packages for the night as well – $200 Ketel One bottles + 4 tickets and Goose + Don Julio + Champagne + 4 tickets. Facebook event found here / tickets available here.
Also taking place on Saturday is Henry Saiz at Spybar. Coming all the way from Spain, his intricate, genre-combining style will definitely lead to a ghoulish time on the dance floor. Spybar is located at 646 N. Franklin (between Ontario and Erie) Entrance is free before midnight with RSVP, you can reserve your spot or purchase tickets here.
Chicago is very lucky to be graced with a heavy burner scene and in turn have the widely enjoyed FreakEasy parties. This weekend will be no exception, with shenanigans starting at 10pm at Metro-Smart Bar in Wrigleyville. There’s not too much to say for a party like this, its one that needs to be experienced first hand. Once there, you’ll understand the different world that the FreakEasy takes place in. Tickets available here.
