Karuva premieres ‘The Underground’ from Upcoming EP
With releases on Perfect Driver, Anabatic, and now Strangelove (with this EP), along with support from BBC Radio 1 and sets throughout London and Ibiza, UK-based producer Karuva is just getting started.
He has positioned himself to be on top of the summer tunes of 2017. His latest EP, recently shot into the top five pre-order downloads on the iTunes Dance chart and is set for release this Friday, May 5, 2017, With that in mind, Only the Beat is proud to premiere a track from the ‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop’ EP, ‘The Underground.’
Featuring both a radio and club edit on the EP, ‘The Underground’ sets the tone with a rhythmic funk founded on tight 808 beats. A track that could easily find itself in sets ranging from house to trap, ‘The Underground’ reflects the diverse nature of Karuva as an artist. Taking cues from a variety of genres, the track has found support from a number of artists, most notably Amine Edge & DANCE, where the track finds a perfect home in their eclectic sets.
Karuva – The Underground (Radio Edit)
The title track for the EP, ‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop’ will premiere the same day as the EP itself. Also with a club and radio edit, ‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop’ features a rap hook set over rolling sub-bass with a catchy house bounce and tempo. Between the two tracks, Karuva proves himself, turning out tracks ready to fit nearly any kind of set without the need to feel bombastic. Blending sounds and vibes with which those more oriented towards the underground side of the scene are readily familiar, Karuva has put out an EP that you’ll no doubt hear in some of your favorite sets this summer.
