Jai Wolf Shares New Track ‘Starlight’
New York-based electronic producer, Sajeeb Saha, otherwise known as Jai Wolf has been gaining traction. Back in 2015 Rolling Stone named him an artist to be on the lookout for and man have we been keeping up him.
He’s come a long way from his “Indian Summer” days having released his debut EP, Kindred Spirits, not too long ago. The EP featured vocals from artists such as MDNR and The Chain Gang of 1974. Having been on tour for much of last year he is finally back with a new track “Starlight”.
Jai Wolf is going back to Coachella this weekend and what better way to celebrate it than with this new release. The track features the vocals of Mr. Gabriel, former member of the band Kopecky, whose voice melts into the repetitive piano melodies. As the track progresses, the chorus reaches a climax that is built on a halftime spacious darkwave 80s backbeat with a heavy synth lead. This is accompanied by female vocals that fade as the synths gets louder. The track then flows back into the rhythmic piano melodies and again starts to build up to this climax. The lyrics are simple yet poetic making it hard not to like the verses. The song is soothing and almost reminiscent of old M83 tracks.
