Rediscovering Maor Levi & Kevin Wild

As I was listening to a recent episode of International Departures, I came across a track that caught my ear (not something that’s out of the ordinary as pretty much every track Myon & Shane 54 play is something special). At the time, it made me feel like I was in the middle of an Anjunabeats Pool Party in Miami, jumping up and down with the crowd to the signature rhythms. The track, Kevin Wild’s bootleg of ‘All Of You’, is one MS54 regularly incorporate into their sets to add an extra dose of energy, and it made me think of how long it had been since I’d caught up with what Kevin Wild is up to.

I immediately looked up remixes from the Kevin Wild and came across a slew of other remixes from both Kevin Wild and Maor Levi that I though I had to share with you.

Bastille – Pompeii (Maor Levi & Kevin Wild Bootleg)

Let me first say, I love Audien. He’s a relatively new and dynamic producer who has added a lot to the scene. That said, the first time I heard his remix of Pompeii, I didn’t like it and two years later and an innumerable amount of times hearing it over and over again in different live sets, I’m still not not a fan. For such a well-known Trance producer, the song Audien’s best know for isn’t terribly Trance-y. This bootleg does something different. I’m particularly fond of the sampling of the vocals in the opening, and the Electro-Trance layered into the drop gets me dancing. See for yourself (and cop that free download)!

Steve Angello – Wasted Love (Maor Levi x Kevin Wild x Helix High Bootleg)

Steve Angello’s hit single off his debut album “Wild Youth” gets a refreshing rework (maybe even one Steve should consider adding as a 2nd drop into his live sets), again remixed by the two talented producers joined by Helix. The bootleg sticks with the melody of Angello’s original composition, added with some sweet drum kits before taking its own direction with the drop.

The Killers – Miss Atomic Bomb (Maor Levi Remix)

On of my favorite remixes of all time, I had to throw this in here. I think it was this piece that turned me on to Maor Levi. It’s what made him become one of those producers that you just trust to come out with solid material every time. Don’t listen to this in an environment where you can’t fully express yourself, ‘cuz this baby’s got three bass-pounding drops filled with catchy lyrics and a soaring melody to satisfy you.

Wilder, aka 'Will King' is a true aficionado when it comes to writing about his biggest passion in life. Since getting thrust into the EDM scene in July 2011, Wilder has brought an array of different styles to the table, being careful never to completely rule out any one style or subgenre. Raised in New York City, he currently attends school in Colorado, where he has been adamantly exploring the local dance scene. Arty, Cosmic Gate, Dirty South, Sander Van Doorn and naturally Armin are Will King's favorite artists. Although they live almost 1000 miles away from eachother, WKing and Dan Tab each claim they have the best and most energetic dance moves on the OTB team...."Don't try and trade Kandi with me. What does PLUR even mean?"
